1. Introduction

DicoRago is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use DicoRago, including the website, web application, iOS and Android mobile apps, the Chromium browser extension, and the Anki add-on.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

3. Account and Authentication

You do not need to create an account to use DicoRago's basic text analysis features. However, an account is required if you want your learning data to be saved, synchronized, modified, or accessed across the DicoRago environment, including on other devices, through the mobile apps, the Chromium extension, or the Anki add-on.

When you create an account, you may register using:

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information you provide when creating an account

4.2 Learning data stored for registered users

For users with an account, DicoRago may store the following data so the service can function properly:

4.3 Text analysis data

When you submit text for analysis on DicoRago, the text is processed in memory only. It is not stored or retained on the server after processing.

4.4 EPUB and e-book reader data

EPUB files are not uploaded to or stored on the DicoRago server. Only excerpts needed for analysis may be sent to the server, and those excerpts are processed in memory only and are not stored after processing.

4.5 Mobile app data

The DicoRago iOS and Android apps provide the same core functionality as the web application, except for EPUB support.

Text submitted for analysis through the mobile apps is processed in memory only. It is not stored or retained on the server after processing.

The mobile apps may store certain data locally on your device so the apps can function properly. This may include:

The mobile apps do not request device permissions and do not use push notifications.

4.6 Browser extension data

The DicoRago Chromium extension only processes text that the user explicitly selects and sends for analysis, for example through the context menu action. Selected text sent for analysis is not stored on the server after processing.

The extension may also store certain learning data locally in the browser and synchronize it with DicoRago when applicable. This may include:

4.7 Anki add-on data

The DicoRago Anki add-on may connect using DicoRago credentials or supported sign-in methods such as Google or Apple, depending on the account setup.

The Anki add-on only synchronizes:

DicoRago sends synchronization data to Anki for this purpose. DicoRago does not receive any kind of data back from Anki through this synchronization.

4.8 Technical and server log data

To operate and secure the service, DicoRago keeps limited technical logs, which may include:

These logs do not include the content of requests.
