DicoRago is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use DicoRago, including the website, web application, iOS and Android mobile apps, the Chromium browser extension, and the Anki add-on.

You do not need to create an account to use DicoRago's basic text analysis features. However, an account is required if you want your learning data to be saved, synchronized, modified, or accessed across the DicoRago environment, including on other devices, through the mobile apps, the Chromium extension, or the Anki add-on.

When you submit text for analysis on DicoRago, the text is processed in memory only. It is not stored or retained on the server after processing.
EPUB files are not uploaded to or stored on the DicoRago server. Only excerpts needed for analysis may be sent to the server, and those excerpts are processed in memory only and are not stored after processing.
The DicoRago iOS and Android apps provide the same core functionality as the web application, except for EPUB support.
Text submitted for analysis through the mobile apps is processed in memory only. It is not stored or retained on the server after processing.
The mobile apps may store certain data locally on your device so the apps can function properly. This may include:

The DicoRago Chromium extension only processes text that the user explicitly selects and sends for analysis, for example through the context menu action. Selected text sent for analysis is not stored on the server after processing.

DicoRago uses cookies only when necessary for session management and authentication on the web. DicoRago does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, marketing cookies, or retargeting technologies.
DicoRago does not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics platforms. DicoRago does not use advertising pixels, mobile analytics SDKs, crash reporting analytics tools, or retargeting tools.
DicoRago does not use third-party APIs for translations, definitions, example sentences, grammar analysis, OCR, AI processing, or large language model processing.
User content submitted for analysis is not sent to such third-party processing services.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, those authentication providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
The DicoRago website, API, and database are hosted on a private server located in France.
DicoRago takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it.
